ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 stander is dedicate to industrial laboratory. In the end of eighty's, first industrial laboratory accreditation was implimented, At that point of time ISO Guide 25 was the standard for laboratory accreditation,gradually this standard was modified as ISO/IEC 17025. In the year 2005 again that standard was re modified and developed in many area, In the present situation Industrial laboratory accreditation standard is known as ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
The standard was first published in 1999 and on 12 May 2005 the alignment work of the ISO/CASCO committee responsible for it was completed with the issuance of the reviewed standard. The most significant changes introduced greater emphasis on the responsibilities of senior management, and explicit requirements for continual improvement of the management system itself, and particularly, communication with the customer
In India NABL has adopted ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 for accreditation for Industrial laboratory.
